UPDATE I never received a call or letter or anything regarding my horrible experience here. Please go somewhere else. Two years ago I posted this review: "Would rate it a zero if I could. The special view mammography was intensely painful, and I have never experienced that before. I actually cried the whole time that magnification and etcetera was being done, but the tech was compassionate and asked me if I was okay. No, I was not, but what could I do? I thanked her for the tissue and stiffened my upper lip for the remainder of the test. Then I had to wait for an ultrasound which I had no idea I was scheduled for, and which caused me stress to think about the why of this, and I was already stressed because I have never had a mammography hurt like that before. Also, I never received a report of findings, but only a letter months ago asking me to come in for a special view mammogram. My doctor didn't even know about the letter, and once the next appointment ensued, the ultrasound technician was cold and clinical when I told her I have no idea why I am having an ultrasound and that I am just following orders but have no idea what is going on. I was still emotional from the painful exam I had had a few minutes before, and she was completely void of compassion or empathy. She just stated that she had proof of when she had sent the letter, and that I should have asked my doctor why I was having an ultrasound. I explained to her that I had called Capital Mammography for my appointment (as the letter stated I should), and they had asked me if I had orders from my doctor, but my doctor had known nothing about that and there had been no time for a conversation since I called because I had the exam done two days later. The ultrasound technician restated that my doctor had the report. At no time did she say she was sorry or validate my feelings of concern and confusion. To top it off, the ultrasound was painful and she seemed completely oblivious to my discomfort even when tears were flowing down my cheeks and I turned away to face the window. Her arguing with me about the letter and the report (that she has "proof she sent me"), moved me from stressed into a full blown anxiety attack and my diaphragm was in spasms as I tried to keep from a complete breakdown. Completely unaware of my condition, she nonchalantly asked me, "Do you have any big plans for the summer?" I tried to breathe as I said through my tears, "I really don't feel like talking right now." "Oh, sorry" she said abruptly, and that was it. She continued to hurt me pressing and gouging without any apparent concern for my experience, and as soon as she said I was done, I ran from the room, dressed and left the building. After recovering in my vehicle, I called the hospital quality control person, leaving a message about my experience. I have not received a call back today at any time, and if I can help it I will never go to Capital Medical Center again."

I get an annual mammogram here. I have experienced nothing but kindness and professionalism during my 8 or 9 annual visits. They get the results to doctor at South Sound Women's Clinic quickly, file my double insurance claims correctly, and I have nothing but good things to say about this center. I also got a recent bone density scan and had the same good experience.
