Great location on the beach in Capitola. A well kept and classic family hotel from an earlier era. Rooms were clean and we loved our stay.  Took off a star because the kitchenette was sans plates and utensils, a fact not evident in their advertising.

The location of the hotel was great, a few steps from the beach and a short walk to the village. The room was spacious and comfortable. It even had a kitchen and a fireplace.

Fantastic little inn on the ocean front. But the rooms are small and less than modern. It really depends on what you are looking for. This will not be a five star experience but the view will knock your socks off.

The location was spectacular. Right on the beach and next to the wharf! The hotel rooms leave you wanting more though. They are all stacked in front of eachother like a little village. If you're on the ground floor, You can only see the rooms right in front of you. No balcony and rooms are narrow and dark. I loved the full kitchen, but they could use some updating. Lots of layers of many coats of paint and bad patch repairs.
 Shower was dark and frightening. If you are a large person, you would not be able to fit in the cubby to use the toilet! My husband and I thought it was all a bad design..and just SO wierd! 
Hated that they were dog unfriendly too.
Probably wouldn't stay here again.

the city is beautiful and the Capitola Venetian Hotel is a true highlight to the city. it is located on the beach and is a truly wonderful experience
