This place is great. The staff are friendly, the lake is beautiful, and the area offers many adventures. The resort is a little pricey but overall a great weekend and the comfort offered more than compensates for the expenses. I would happily stay again and plan to make this a yearly trip up to this resort.

sm resort that has rentals for fishing on the lake or on its banks .Awesum!! views about. wonderful cozy cabins no chimney but have a fire near cabin in designated fire pits Great lil kitchenettes just byo anything  Fantastic owners been there many yrs. know area .Great place to escape to Year Round !! ive been with few guys n fish n hike area .seen many families having fun .close to kirkwood for skiing . u gotta see .you will enjoy . awesome enviorns  take many deep breaths  drink some water as u r at 8500 feet. so close to heaven!!!!  we need places like this !!!

The second of three lakes on The Kit Carson Pass. You'll enjoy this lake and it's rental cabins. Stunning indeed.

Leaving this review for my parents who stayed a horrible 3 nights at the Caples Lake "Resort". First, there is nothing "resort" like about the B&B it is extremely dated, in dyer need of repairs, and well water (which is bacteria & germ ridden) the "restaurant" that shows on Google has been close for over a decade. The outdated shabby disarray was a disappointment. The bathroom (located OUTSUDE of the room & across the hall) had a shower that was installed UPSIDE DOWN -_- ..if you stay here TAKE LOTS OF BOTTLED WATER! The well water gave both my parents E. Coli poisoning causing severe and frequent trips to the bathroom. They will surely NEVER be staying here again.  After all that the "manager" argued with them over room rates, ridiculous, this place need to be shut down not just for health concerns but safety also. Their deck is in shambles with plywood patches over large rotting holes & the stairs are no better with rickety railings and metal boxes being used in place of missing wooden steps.....this should be a negative star rating, but the one I had to give will go to the lake view which was the only good thing about this place.
