This place is fantastic. In a sea of commercialism and chain restaurants, Captain Pats is a breath of fresh air. Great service, great food and cozy rustic ambiance. I'm writing after throwing back a few beers and too many crabs and shrimp, and it was perfect.

Small place food is somewhat expensive for quality of food waitresses are nice the cooking staff is rude and unprofessional use of profanity and handles food rough and not good sanitary skills somewhat, they also look unkept and unclean...

I read the other posts, and was pretty excited to go to this place. So I recommended it to the others, and we went here for dinner. Ordered the broiled seafood platter to get a good sample of various dishes. There was a longer wait than what you would expect, because it wasn't that busy. Anyhow, our dishes came out, and they looked pretty good, but then we took a bite of the shrimp and it was pretty tough, which is usually an indicator of something that had been frozen. Maybe they were having a bad day, but we were not very impressed with the quality of the food here.

Fabulous steamed jumbo crabs that had to have just come out of the water...delicious steamed shrimp, coleslaw, hush puppies, crab cakes. wonderful service. Don't be deterred by the looks of the outside.

The entire experience from our waitress and her excellent service to the delicious food made with hardly a wait was nice surprise. A small unassuming building hiding a gem. I come to the Solomons every year and found a new favorite.restaurant
