We've gone to the Captains Table for their Mother's Day brunch the last several years. Usually it is FANTASTIC...however this year it was awful. I made a reservation for 9 a month and a half early, leaving my name and phone number. They called one week prior to the date stating that they were under new management and would not open until 11am that day (my reservation was for 10am). So we changed the reservation to 11am and hung up. When we arrived, they were not sure who I was, had my name wrong on the reservation, but seated us anyways. Soon after sitting we find a menu, and NO BRUNCH. We were less than thrilled, as my mom loves this brunch and was looking forward to it. I ask to speak with the manager. He comes over, and examine they are under new management, that there is no brunch offered today. I ask why he didn't call and tell me. He says they called everyone on the list. I explain that I was not informed. He says ,"What would you like me to do. This is what we are offering today. I called everyone in the list". He offers no apology, nothing. I tell him I'd like him to manage better. He responds again with "I called everyone on the list". We leave, and will not be returning. Usually I am very forgiving when it comes to mistakes at dining establishments, but this manager was so beligerant, I could not overlook the incident. Be warned...its not what it used to be!

Fantastic! I took my family and sister In-law out for a nice family meal. I was more than satisfied for a $20 a plate type restaurant. The food was amazing and packed with flavor. If the weather permits, sit outside to watch the boats on the river.

Bar service is poor. Both understaffed & inefficient. We left after an appetizer & a few drinks & will eat elsewhere. Oh well, help can kill ya.

We had a party of 16. We were seated after a 5 minute wait. Server was good and manager/owner came to table twice to make sure that we were happy with service and food. Food was fabulous. Burgers were big, salads had great dark greens, fish was cooked perfect, definently have to have the cheesy mashed potatoes and the chili had great flavor.
