I have had problems cancelling my auto and home insurance policy, I gave my non-renewal notice well before the renewal date and received numerous cancellation and collection letters from the insurance company (Erie). I called Carl and he said he'd take care of it, and I continued to get cancellation/collection letters. As a former bank regulator, this would indicate that there is a problem somewhere in their compliance program. I'm canceled and switched insurance companies, but I am still dealing with Erie Insurance five months later: not good service.

Carl and his staff are complete professionals. I have had my home, auto and business insurance with Carl's agency for more than 10 years. He wrote my policies with Erie Insurance and saved me a lot of money and increased the coverage from my previous policies. He always takes time to answer my questions and provide certificates whenever I need them. I have recommended the Carl Rutan Insurance agency to all of my friends. 5 stars.

This insurance company has much higher prices than other companies. Shop around before you go with this one.
