Spark was able to fit me in on very short notice for an assessment and dry needling appointment. Nicole was extremely helpful and friendly with the required forms, taking down my insurance information, and handling the paperwork. 

I was in significant pain from a shoulder injury, a constant level 6 for 4 days at that point, with pain also traveling down my armpit and into my forearm. Dr. Berio ran me through a set of tests, identified the trigger points and began needling.  He is very knowledgeable about the therapy and was calm and soothing throughout the procedure - I was completely comfortable throughout. After the session, I had immediate reduction of pain levels from 6 to 2 in my shoulder, improved range of motion and some stretches to keep me loose. It was a huge relief. 

Highly recommend to others.

I have been working with Ivy. She is very thorough and knowledgeable. Uses a mixture of techniques to help you heal and then restore range of motion and strength to you can fix the cause led the problem! She is very responsive both at appointments and via email between appointments for questions and general check ins.

Dr. Carlos Berio is awesome. He has helped me tremendously with my pain. Trigger point dry needling is unbelievable how well it works and you would be hard pressed to find anyone better at it than Dr. Berio. I highly recommend him and his practice.

SPARK Physio is the best in this business in NoVA. Hands down.

I went to three other area PT offices before I found Dr. Berio at this office. Compared to Dr. Berio, the other practitioners I met with were complete amateur hour. 

Dr. Berio knows his stuff, and his care for his patients is manifest. His energy and enthusiasm are really helpful when you aren't feeling your best.
