I definitely love the location. You can go out in the patio and look at the stars at night without being blinded by city lights. It's surrounded by winery tasting rooms that if you are craving a delicious bottle, it's a 2 minutes drive away, or you can walk. The reason why it's not 5 stars is that it gets hot at night. The gas fireplace is a huge plus during the day but when night comes, I had to turn it off because the room was getting too hot. There isn't a heater system where you can change the temperature of the room. Another downside is that they don't keep check of they hot tub. If a nice couple didn't turn on the jacuzzi the night before I arrived, the tub wouldn't be hot at all. Also, it takes awhile to heat up the tub if you know where to go to turn it on. Guests shouldn't be trying to figure this out when they're trying to relax. Other than that, the stay was extremely pleasant. I would stay again in the future.

The rooms are very rudimentary and could benefit from being updated. Rooms are not particularly clean. The bed was comfortable. Old style wall heater worked fine. There are almost never a person at the front reception desk. You walk in and the desk is empty. You call the main number and it simply rings and rings forever.

Cute little lodge, but management was nowhere to be found and the fireplace was a disappointment. We tried calling multiple times to inform the front desk we would be arriving late in the evening, but no answer. When we arrived, we found a note on the door with a number to call the night manager---but one of the numbers wasn't answered and the other had been disconnected. Luckily, we found the envelope in the drop box containing our room key. At about 2am, a group of teenagers were in the hot tub creating lots of noise. Using the phone in the room, we were unable to reach the front desk or the night manager regarding the noise. The lodge advertises the room having a fireplace, but in reality it's electric with glowing lights mimicking a fire with zero heat output.
