OUTSTANDING CATERING!  Well cooked, plentiful, On Time, Fun.

The restaurant is a great place to socialize with a friend.  The atmosphere is "alive" with conversations at every table. If you want quiet & solitude while you eat, this is NOT the place.  The sounds and bustle of cheerful friends sharing stories and laughter are ever present.

The food is good, but I repeatedly return for the environment.

Both inside and outside seating are available.  Even on the hottest evenings, the patio is filled with guests and laughter.

Artwork and interesting architecture abounds.   Easy targets for starting a conversation  ....   .... or avoiding a particular subject of conversation.

Family friendly. Reasonable prices. The Mexico City tacos are fabulous, with shrimp. As are the spinach mushroom enchiladas. Helpful waitstaff.

I'd give Carmelita's 3.5 stars if I could. The food is quite good. Its the service and environment that lacks a little. The restaurant is loud. The music is turned up a bit too high, and with tile floors and walls, the interior echoes so that its difficult to hear the people at my own table talk. The service is hit and miss when it comes to speed. Our food came out to our table very quickly, but refills came rather slowly. Seriously, 3.5 stars. Worth visiting if you want good food, but the service and noise may be not to your taste.
