Great service, amazing food. Highly recommend for a nice dining experience.Food: 5/5
Dinner at Carmelo's Coat of Arms was fabulous. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious, showcasing the chef's passion and dedication in each dish. The service is exceptional, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The location is definitely worth the drive from Buffalo. Highly recommend for a memorable meal!Food: 5/5
Food was delicious in this moody, quietly set restaurant. Nice place for a date. The service was very slow, but likely an error on kitchen or our waitress as she said our ticket got missed after they put in several table orders at once. Thankfully, we did not mind as we were in no rush. We got the brussel sprouts to share, swordfish, and bolognese, then finished with the apple crostata. Everything was incredible.
Came highly recommended by many locals but I found the food just OK. The prices were similar to New York City prices. Seemed overpriced for what you get. The food wasn't spectacular. I think they benefit from lack of competition. Presentation of dishes were nice.Food: 3/5
Carmelo's is the best fine dining restaurant, in the Niagara Falls/ Lewiston area. Hands down! The restaurant is small and the decor is a nice older rustic look. The lighting is somewhat dim. Our hostess/ waitress Alicia was absolutely amazing. If every restaurant had a person like her working, they would never have complaints of bad customer service. She did have a very capable helper as well, unfortunately I forgot her name. But she was very good as well. After allowing us time to settle in and look over the menu. Alicia answered all of our questions, and even made a few accommodations for us. The night was very good and I was so impressed with everything. That I plan to bring others back with me, to enjoy the place as well. Complimentary bread- The bread is really, really good. Loved how crusty the bread was, but so chewy and soft in the inside. Comes with a side of oil, and olive mix. Candy cane beets- I thought this dish was good. I did expect a sweet salad, since the name was candy cane. But still, the salad was very refreshing. Filet mignon- Now I have come across many restaurants, that serve filet mignons. Everytime I see it served with a sauce, I absolutely hate it. I never felt a steak should have sauce on it, now I’m reading a blueberry sauce on this one. My interest was peak, and I have to say Wow!!! Now not only was the filet perfectly made. But the blueberry sauce, was a great compliment to the entree. I didn’t see that coming. Spaghetti Nero- Now this is one of the accommodations Alicia did for us. Normally this entree has a marinara sauce. I'm not into red sauce, so I ask if they could substitute for a white cream sauce. Alicia talk it over with the chef, and they were able to accommodate me. This dish was amazing with the cream sauce. I honestly hope they make this a permanent change. I also would recommend, for the seafood in this dish not to be chop up. But if they could make this entree, maybe with 3 whole seared sea scallops, and a few whole shrimps. Sticky toffee cake- Omg.. omg... nice warm dessert to finish off the night. I really like the sweetness of this dish, especially the cream on top. I can say if I had ice cream with this, I probably would pass out from how good that would taste. Drinks- they have a wines and beer and a full bar. I ask for a black Manhattan. Alicia made it happen, and it was amazing
We eat out fairly often and this place is awesome. The food is stellar, the waitresses are too. Our primary waitress was Ashley, we were very pleased. We will come back again and again.Food: 5/5
This is in my top five restaurants in WNY. I come here a few times a year. Everything is delicious and I appreciate the use of seasonal vegetables. I’ve had many items on the menu - especially love the squid ink pasta with shrimp, the mafalde and budino. I also love the cozy vibe on the restaurant. Vegetarian options: There’s usually one or two vegetarian pasta dishes on the menu as well as a few vegetarian appetizers. In addition, there’s some vegetable sides.
This place is a legit Italian restaurant. Not your typical red sauce place, lots of homemade pasta! 7–17.
Every meal I have had at Carmelo's has been great. Always fresh menu, always fresh ingredients, always great staff. If you are looking for a wonderful meal in Western New York, put this place at the top of the list.
prices are relatively high, the portion sizes small, and salads were an extra $16.00. The food tasted good and the servers were pleasant but management was non-existent. By keeping the patio door open flies of all types enjoyed my dining room too.Food: 3/5
