Story

Carolina Creations specializes in fine American craft and fine art by artists from across the U.S., with a particular focus on artists from North Carolina. The gallery was opened in 1989 by artists Janet & Michael Francoeur in 2017 Virginia Spencer took over the reins.
Part gallery and part retail shop Carolina Creations has one goal: bring the best work by artists and craftsmen together with friendly, personal service. For the casual craft lover and the serious collector, they’ve put together a combination of distinctive elements that make looking at, learning about, and buying art and fine craft exciting and memorable.
At the Gallery you’ll find paintings and prints, New Bern art and gifts, pottery, sculpture, art furniture, blown glass, jewelry, wearables, wood, gift items and more, all made by people the Francoeur’s know. They even have a wonderful collection of greeting cards.
The gallery has won numerous awards including being chosen as the Best Place to Buy Art and Gifts in New Bern for the past ten years and being named one of the Top 25 American Craft Galleries in the US by Niche Magazine. They have recently been awarded “Main Street Champion” by the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
