Story

Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center was founded by Steve Kuzma and Robin Lancaster. both had extentive experience in the funeral industry. Steve with the funeral home industry and Robin with Cemetery and Crematory Management and operations. On June 1, 1997 together they opened the firm. At the time it was the only independent firm in Charlotte market. Today still an independent firm, they strive to meet the needs of the public with Dignity, Affordablility and simplicity

While Zack was kind and caring and compassionate, they still deserve one star, zero stars if I could.  The arrangements that were discussed and agreeed upon were not communicated to the owner according to Steve.  When we arrived Saturday morning expecting a hearse taking my father to the crematorium, we were shocked to discover they wanted to transport him in a cargo van.  When i expressed the arrangements that weere discussed and how i felt the van was disrespectful, Steve argued with me that it was not in the contract and the van was a "coach".  He also argued that it was not disrespectful to put him in a van.  He seemed agitated that he had to do something different than what he had planned and was very short with us at the center.  We were told we couldbt have a procession becaise we needed a police escort.

Excellent experience at a difficult time.  They go above and  beyond what I had experienced at the competition previously.  My family and I were helped with dignity and compassion.  Will most certainly recommend!

Steve, the owner, is a first class example of what folks in this business should be doing to take care of families in most challenging circumstances.  He is straightforward, doesn't upsell or pressure and will tell you what is possible (or not) as you care for your loved one.

You and your staff were professional, compassionate and outstanding.   I have always recommended you to my patients for their funeral services, but I now can tell them  firsthand what a first class operation we experienced.  Thank you. You' all were wonderful! Thank you to both Steve & Zack. Of course this is never easy, but you all did amazing. We will be coming back to get our affairs in order.
