Going to the dentist has never been a problem for me.. I have had a lot of dental work done in the past at other offices and not one comes close to Carolina Mountain Dental. Starting from initial contact with front desk girls Vickie and Kathy and ending when you walk out, the whole experience is outstanding. 
Jessica has been my Hygienist since I found this practice four years ago.. She is unbelievably incredible.  I have had several procedures done so I have also worked with Stephanie and Michelle and they are as wonderful. Last but not least is Dr. Efird. His work is impeccable and very precise. As others have said, he never encourages unnecessary procedures. I can't say enough good things about this entire team.

after spending 30+ years avoiding dentists..an abscess forced me into searching for a dentist.  Google led me to Carolina Mountain Dental and Dr. Efird.  I called and explained my situation and my history(or lack thereof) to Kathy and she got me right in.  i cant begin to describe my fear and how much at ease the staff made me.  Stephanie, Vicky and Dr. Efird were so positive and optimistic and most of all non judgmental of my poor decisions and set forth a plan.  I have had many broken teeth pulled, comprehensive cleaning by Jessica(the best) and some fillings and a crown and am happy to report a healthy mouth and a more confident smile!!!  Most of all, i can be a good example to my two daughters!!! Do not hesitate...call them and get on your path to good oral care!!!
