One star is too much. Renters beware. Maintenance is horrible and they try their best to take your money and takes zero responsibility.
A single bulb that didn't work upon my move-in took them ONE MONTH to fix. And the VACATING process is horrible: I rented only for a year, taking over a lease from someone. Before I signed the lease, I asked specifically what I need to do to avoid being held responsible for a guy's 5-year lease. And they told me that I don't need to worry about getting it back unless I poke a hole in the wall. And a year later, just about to move out, they want the carpet to be professionally cleaned, and charge me and my roommate for the damage that was incurred throughout the 5 years by that guy. Absolutely outrageous. Will never rent again. And nor should you.

Update: the deposit return process was even more crazy. They switched property to Advantage, meaning that they just let them handle the mess. And they lost the forward address form and took 9/10th of the deposit. A horrible company, with zero integrity and tons of lying and cheating.

If I could give them negative stars I would.  If you do choose to rent with CRE (I can't imagine why), upon moving in, point to one appliance at random (the more essential the better).  By the time your lease is up, that appliance will have stopped working at least once.  Next, point to the appliance you think you will use the most (if different from first appliance).  That appliance will also stop working.  The standard maintenance procedure is to walk in, examine the broken appliance, and leave without fixing it.  They will then consider the matter closed and leave you with a useless appliance.  If someone at CRE is reading this review, my microwave is still broken (2 weeks and counting).  Please come fix it.  If it is unfixable, I will gladly take yours
UPDATE: The microwave was fixed shortly after the writing of this review but the washing machine is now broken.  I can't make this ish up

I can only give three stars as we have only been in the house for 6 weeks. Being an experienced home owner, renter and property manager ( a long time ago) I know the trials and tribulations that go into management. Everyone that we have dealt with has been pleasant and helpful. Do they respond to requests immediately? No, but I don't expect that.  I know they are dealing with a LOT of rentals.  Do I need them to change a light bulb? NO, I can do that myself. I am also not in the mid set that just because I am renting I don't have to take care of my home. Like I said, remains to be seen but so far so good.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are EXTREMELY rude to tenants. Also, they do not care about tenants safety. They attempted to allow a new tenant to move into our occupied house without allowing us consent on A STRANGER moving in and living amongst us and also refuesd to give us any background information on the new tenant. What if something happened to us? This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. They are unhelpful, unprofessional and do not treat college-aged tenants as adults. They will treat you unfairly and do everything they can to make your life as a tenant harder. They should be shut down. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM YOU WILL HATE IT. We are moving out of this house because our house was managed by Clemson One Properties and now it is managed by Carolina Real Estate and we are moving AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WORST COMPANY IN CLEMSON

Been renting for two years now. Going on 6 months for them to fix our bathroom. Excuse after excuse after excuse. Jeremy was the rudest and talks back whenever I ask him what's going on with the repairs. I honestly don't know how this place is still in business
