I'd suggest avoiding any contact there whatsoever. But thats just me, if you buy a pre-paid funeral be aware that you're usually just buying "life Insurance" from a life insurance "salesperson" seeking a generous commission on the spot first and foremost. As well you know, life insurance is for life insurance, not paying for your internment. Read your contract its life insurance to pay for your services. Watch out for the hard sell 500.00+ roses day of death & other products too. I'll not waste my time or yours refuting pre-paid funerals. Good luck!

Dear Evan ; I’m not sure who you are or if you came to my funeral home for service. We do not solicit or ever “sell”” any thing. Using Insurance is a source of-funding pre-need contracts because the banks do not offer a substantial interest rate to withstand the cost of inflation associated with long term contracts. The state of Massachusetts/Medicaid approves of this payment method. It is our responsibility to fulfill our clients wishes at the time of their death therefore we must put your $ where it will earn the most interest. If you would like to have a conversation with us we would welcome your opinion as to how to operate our business. We are always available to answer any questions you may have. Going through the sudden loss of a family member was the most difficult time myself and my family had experienced. Being in such a sadden frame of mind you have to proceed even though you’re not fully knowing what exactly to do next. We called the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home and were immediately treated comfortably and professionally. We were met with a warm greeting by Alex Thomas III who walked us thru this sad time in our lives and answered each and every question we had, he was excellent. What also impressed me was that during the services members of the Thomas family who also worked for the funeral home would come up to us and introduce themselves and expressed their condolences and asked if we needed anything. They were very accommodating and everything was handled perfectly, we did not have to worry about anything which enabled us to be with our family. I highly recommend the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home.

Alex and Marcia are two of the most caring, honest, compassionate people I've ever met. They define class and professionalism. Just great people who know how to care for those at the most difficult times in life.

My family and I had a great experience during this very hard time for us. Alex III and Alex JR were extremely nice from the first moment that we spoke on the phone. They went out of their way to make every one of our accommodations possible. They were always available and never seemed bothered. They have a lovely children’s room that is great to keep the little ones entertained. They have a very nice set up with everything you need accessible including a television in the hall way were we put a slide show. During the service they checked on us a number of times, which felt very comforting. We were very pleased with all the work that Alex, his family and workers did for us. Everyone that came to our service commented on what a nice job they did with making our family member who passed look just as beautiful as they always did. We had an excellent experience and will highly recommend to everyone.
