I love it accept someone  from the dock yelled at us to leave but we were letting my father n law go to the restroom.  It was the stupidest thing ever.  We weren't parking there.

Carter Lake is a beautiful County Park and I highly recommend spending some time there.   There is camping,  boating and a lake "beach" to swim at.   You can't beat it on a hot summer day!

Lake is gorgeous. Fishing is good.  South campground facilities are repulsive and poorly maintained/serviced. Save you "number 2s" for somewhere a little more well kept.

Absolutely beautiful place and possibly the best place for a look upon Carter lake. I enjoy going here in the off season when water has recessed a bit and no docks are in the water. Gorgeous to walk on the shore or play guitar as I often do, as long as you're not disturbing anything you can just relax here even nap while park rangers come and go.
