I called in at 3:17PM today (11/1/17) asking if there were any new patient specials available. Carus was recommended by my insurance company but after speaking with their receptionist, I am less than impressed. Once I asked about a special, she changed her tone and asked “Do you have Insurance?”. Of course I replied, yes, after that she said something similar to “so you’re asking if we OFFER anything?” and again I replied “yes”. Her reply was a very abrupt, “No.” and after I thanked her I hung up. Someone needs a quick re-train in customer service. There is nothing wrong with asking if there are any specials, otherwise I could miss out. For example: I called another dental office (also recommended by my Insurance) and their special was $59 for an X-ray, exam and cleaning for a “healthy mouth”. That dramatically cuts down on the costs of my first dental visit since moving to Austin. Even though they didn’t offer a special, IF I had a better encounter with the receptionist I would have still considered this office for my long term dental care. That’s what’s most important to me.

If I could give a zero rating for this office I would. I had a scheduled appointment at 11:20am today, 1/6/18. I arrived to my appointment an hour early (10:20a.m), and after 15 minutes of finishing new patient paperwork I was taken to the back. The assistant took my x-rays, and then completed my perio charting. After she was done, she informed me that she was going to help a colleague and would be right back. This was at 11:06 am when she left. I saw her finish assisting her colleague and walked past my room and went on to the next to another patient. I waited for 30 mins but I thought, maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt and wait a little longer. 30 more minutes passed, and at this point it was 12:06pm. I walked to the front and was not even seen by the doctor after waiting for over an hour. When I asked if they could not bill my x-rays to allow me to be seen at a different office, I was told that wasn’t possible and instead they could email them to me. I am very upset because no one went to check in on me while I waited that hour and neither did they provide any updates or inform me if there might’ve been an emergency appointment that was causing the delay. They have very poor commutation skills and it is not acceptable to allow a patient to wait over an hour. I would definitely not recommend this place.

They are ALWAYSA ON TIME, professional and the most friendly helpful staff!

Hardly any waiting time. Staff pleasant and helpful. Get there early so you can ejoy their great coffee :) !

The staff at Carus Dental Round Rock is fabulous! They are courteous and helpful. I have been seeing Dr. Haria for over four years and have always had a wonderful experience at their offices.
