Story

In 1990, Mr. Juan Carlos De Leon, owner of the two Casa Blanca Restaurant immigrated to the United States and with him brought the rich traditions of authentic Mexican and Seafood dishes which were served in his native country. These recipes originated from Jalisco, Mexico, and over the years have been intertwined with the desires of the taste buds of the people of the Coachella Valley. These recipes contain only the purest, most natural crops and spices making our dishes exquisite and delicious.

Upon arrival, Mr. De Leon began working in the restaurant business full-time as well as attending Coachella Valley High School, full-time. At his job he began to share with his employer the recipes which had been served during his childhood and the restaurant clients began to taste the difference. They enjoyed the new flavors and twists that these new hands were preparing and were very pleased. Soon after graduating from high school, Mr. De Leon opened up his own restaurant where he served the thirty most delicious Mexican entrees in the Coachella Valley.

In 1996 Mr. De Leon acquired the Desert Hot Springs location for his first full-service Mexican and Seafood restaurant- where again his delicious servings fascinated his customers. The Desert Hot Springs location is located on Pierson Boulevard and continues to serve the best chicken fajitas. The chicken is bountiful, with extreme flavor. Pair the entrée with the rice water called “horchata” and you have the best tasting meal you can get in Desert Hot Springs.

Over the years, patronage increased and in 2006 the Casa Blanca Restaurant in Cathedral City was opened. This location is on the south side of the I-10 freeway on Date Palm Drive where after a full-day of shopping or golf, this location will satisfy your hunger pangs. According to a loyal customer base, the “Tampiqueña” entrée at this location is the best in the Coachella Valley. It consists of a hearty serving of carne asada, plus two cheese enchiladas, rice, beans and diced pico de gallo. Both locations have a full-service bar which includes domestic and imported beers.

The two Mexican and Seafood Restaurants will leave you wanting more because of their delicious food, generous servings and reasonable prices. The original menu of thirty dishes has increased, and now, consists of over 150 entrees to satisfy your every need. More than anything, you will receive the promise Mr. De Leon swore to when he entered the restaurant business as a teenager: five-star customer service and quality and authentic Mexican and Seafood. Come on in and see for yourself. Here, you will receive the Casa Blanca (White House) experience.

We always love eating here. The food is consistent in it's excellence. All the workers are friendly and very good at their job. The owner is a friendly good man who knows his business. Over all excellent.

Would normally rate this place as a 4 or 5 star because the food is delicious. My last visit had some pretty bad service. Had to ask for everything from silverware to chips to drink refills. Even had to ask for my check twice. If they were busy, I could understand. But they weren't.

This Place is always Busy. The Service Is Bad there the waitresses take their time to get your drink order.they take their time bringing the food out.The Wait staff Takes Forever to Bring Your Check. Their Salsa at the table for Chips is Horribly Hot its more of a chili sauce then a flavorful salsa. The food Is Good,Real Popular with Senior Citizens. They Have a Happy Hour with Discount Pricing. Restrooms are Dirty. But still a comunity Favorite..I Give it a C+

DON'T GO!!! Service sucked -- we waited over an hour to order and get food!!! Terrible food!!! Overpriced!!! (1) Our order was wrong!!! (2) When we finally got our food, it was cold (like not even room temp)!!! (3) The server NEVER came back to our table except to give us the bill!!! (4) Our server tried to overcharge us!!! We finally called over the owner (who just happened to be there) and he was rude, arrogant and disrespectful!!! CASABLANCA NEEDS TO CLOSE AND GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!!

The best Mexican restaurant for 50 miles. The service is always friendly & attentive. The margarita's taste like they are straight out of Mexico (only $3.50 during Happy Hour)! And the Tilapia is always fresh. We'll be back soon!
