One of my favorite places for weekend lunch. It's not your traditional Mexican fare, I'm guessing it's Oaxacan. In any case, the ingredients are extremely fresh, the sauces are hearty and deep, and the service is usually pretty good. Not fancy by any means, but wonderful. The girls LOVE the margaritas!

Best Mexican joint in New Orleans. Mezcal is in abundance, food is fresh and tasty, staff are warm and friendly and chatting with Hugo always puts a smile on our faces. Many thanks for making our time there enjoyable

This is a great place. It's sort of in the same level as a Gato Negro with funkier environs. Delicious cocktails, not too packed, fancier than Guerrero but not Johnny Sanchez fancy. Their mole was five star all the way. Totally delicious. As was the guacamole. Ceviche was not doing it for me... Very fishy and no hint of citrus or twang. The regular enchiladas were solid but not as good as the mole. Good date place.

Good food, bad service, expensive. First off, the margaritas are very good. I had the Alambres which were delicious. The service was abysmal—she forgot to place things we ordered three times! Each item was more expensive than a comparable restaurant.

Pricey tourist attraction. Lots of mosquitos. Expensive tiny margaritas. Good salsa (not free), good guacamole. $o-$o queso. Won't be back even if I win Powerball.
