Story

We are honored to serve almost 7,000 students from preschool through eighth grade in 9 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and an Early Childhood Learning Center. With a parent-approval rating of over 95% for 12 years in a row, it is obvious that parents trust that their children are educated and cared for by dedicated and conscientious professionals.

The CGESD is a recognized leader in education at both state and national levels. By carefully selecting only the most highly qualified and fully licensed teachers, by providing all staff with ongoing training and support, and by closely monitoring each individual student’s progress, our schools have produced significant improvements in academic achievement over a period of several years.

Our schools offer a challenging academic program that includes not only Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, but also Vocal and Instrumental Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Foreign Language, Leadership Development Opportunities, Technology Applications, Mock Trial, Mariachi Ensemble, and Career Camps. Accelerated instruction is available for high-achieving and gifted students, and innovative Signature Programs are periodically added to meet changing needs.

We are very proud of our students and our schools, and we deeply appreciate all of the support we receive from parents and the community. Each and every day, we strive to improve teaching and learning, and to earn the support and respect of parents and the community.
