Strong feelings led founder Ryan Cashatt to open a family owned and operated funeral chapel filled with personal care to memorial services. His vision is to provide a warm and caring atmosphere filled with compassion and understanding during this difficult time. It is his family’s hope and dedication that you will feel love and God’s grace as you enter Cashatt Family Funerals at Platte Woods Funeral Chapel.

The entire Cashatt family was more than helpful and kind during the entire process. They are not a Monday-Friday 9-5 organization. They work around the clock to make sure families are getting the support they need even after hours. They did not try to upsell us or push us to do or buy anything we didn't plan to. They helped take the burden off of my sister and I when our father passed away. We had no idea where to begin. They answered every question we had, no matter how silly the question may have been. They even met us after hours so we could see our father's body one last time before cremation. They are a wonderful family and went above and beyond for us and the price was very reasonable as well.

We would like to thank Cashatt Family from the bottom of our hearts for their loving care of my wife who passed away so suddenly. They are people you will want to adopt as your own family. They truly move mountains to make things as easy as they can be at such a difficult time.

Absolutely wonderful people! Couldn't have asked for a better place to have done business with at this time of loss! All staff was more then pleasant and compassionate. The price of there service was a small fraction of anywhere else with all of the same accommodations

We had used Cashatt family funeral home before when my step father passed away and they were amazing! Fast forward 2 years when my mother passed away unexpectedly and i decided to use them again. This time we did not get to have Ryan. (who was thoughtful and kind our first time) This time we had Pastor Lawerence and i must say, it was a completely different experience. He was kind but instead of talking about my mother he spent his time talking to me about his. I learned much about his life but i didn't feel like he took the time to learn much about ours. He asked me to write up what I'd like to have in the visitation pamphlet and then read that verbatim during my mothers service. He forgot to give me my mothers jewerly and i had to drive up during another funeral to get her things. It is 12 weeks later and i had to contact him to find out what is going on with her death certificates because i still have not received them. Over all i am deeply disappointed in the care and service i paid for and sadly would not recommend them to anyone.

My father passed away unexpectedly in November. I met Ryan Cashatt when he spoke at a NKC Rotary meeting and remembered his pricing and presentation about funerals. He was the first and only one I called. We held the service at their chapel without even seeing the place and I won't lie, I was nervous. The chapel was beautiful! More than I could have imagined. It is an old Catholic church and did not feel like a funeral home. It was beautiful and had capacity for many, many people. I would highly recommend Cashatt Family to anyone I know. We saved money and provided the best service and comfort during what has undoubtedly been the hardest week of our lives.
