CHIC ESCAPADE

Construit dans l'ancienne carrière aux abords du lac Leamy, sur un site naturel exceptionnel, le Casino du Lac-Leamy (anciennement le Casino de Hull) a été inauguré le 24 mars 1996.

Au cours de l'exercice 2000-2001, la Société des casinos du Québec a mis en œuvre un vaste projet d'expansion de ce site, évalué à 210 millions de dollars, qui visait l'agrandissement du Casino, la construction d'un hôtel de 350 chambres (le Hilton Lac-Leamy), d'un centre de congrès et d'une salle de spectacle. L'hôtel Hilton Lac-Leamy et le Théâtre du Casino ont ouvert leurs portes à l'automne 2001.

En 2009, le Théâtre du Casino a subi des modifications permettant d'en faire une salle multifonctionnelle.

Le Casino compte près de 60 tables de jeu dont 12 tables de poker Texas Hold'em et plus de 1 800 machines à sous.

À 5 minutes du centre-ville d'Ottawa, le Casino du Lac-Leamy propose une expérience unique de divertissement. Laissez-vous prendre au jeu dans une ambiance conviviale et un décor distingué. This is a nice casino and it is very welcoming. We have been here several times and we have always had loads of fun. They also have good food available. You can come by boat from the ottawa river if you wish as the casino has a marina. A nice place to come and spend a few hours and try your luck.

Great casino! Tons of slots and tables to pick from. Free pop and coffee was a nice bonus,  and the heated smoking terrace was an excellent plus!

Who would have thought you would need more staff to work on new years eve. Had less staff working then on a normal night. Wait to get a drink was ridiculous. Get better planners

Good times...Food was fantastic, good selection of games, excellent staff what can I say my experience was positive. I highly recommend it.

Unsympathetic, unthoughtful, and unforgiving staff (for the most part). 
Security did not let me inside for smelling like marijuana, but apparently smelling like cigarettes is okay. 
Go figure. 
When I explained that to security they laughed to my face and pointed out the door. 
With my money still on a poker table (going for a 24h marathon session) I tried a different entrance which at a casino with cameras everywhere wouldn't fool anyone. 
At the next entrance I had the displeasure to meet the worst manager I have met in my life. 
Benoit, the manager showed how much of a brainless monkey he and most of his security are when he could not clearly, and logically explain why smelling like cigarettes is acceptable upon entry, but marijuana is not. 
"Yeah, but it's a different smell" won't cut it Benoit, quit your job red faced bully. 
I tried conversing with Benoit, but his high nose prevented him from properly addressing the situation. 
Benoit was not just carelessly demanding, but as rude as calling me a "prick" after taking out my phone while he took notes about me. 
I took a selfie with Benoit in the background after he called me a prick just to remember. 
I was compliant to give my ID and whatever, but forcing me out of the building without my money was beyond rude. 
Banning me for a month was just uncalled for the situation. You need better customer service. 
I hope Benoit gets better. 

On a positive note, the ladies behind the desk in the poker room are friendly and professional. The pit bosses could try being less intimidating and more neutral. Finally the dealers should not expect tips as often as they do since most people are losing. An older dealer who has seen me play for a while basically indicated to other players with her body language and her words how they should play against me when I was in a pot because I had not tipped her, ruining the game for me that night. 

On the other end of the spectrum is Antonious, the fastest and most professional dealer there, he should be promoted to Benoit's position. Other dealers and managers could learn a lot from his above neutral demeanor.
