Story

As the campus has continued to grow, so too has the student enrollment. The first fall enrollment in 1945 was 73. Now, approximately 5,000 students from all over Wyoming, 35-plus states and 20 foreign countries attend Casper College. The college strives to provide students with the right kind of environment to build strong foundations for future success. Our students transfer to universities and colleges throughout the United States and join the work force having received state-of-the art technical training.

Casper College develops and maintains educational programs, student support services and activities appropriate to the needs of the communities served. The college provides programs which parallel the first two years of baccalaureate education, prepare students for vocational and professional degrees, and provide valuable lifelong learning opportunities. All programs are supported by traditional and innovative equipment, materials, and resources within the limits of the college's legal and fiscal responsibilities. Through its over 140 academic transfer and technical and career programs, Casper College has developed a national reputation for its academic standard and outstanding career programs. The instructors at Casper College include more than 160 full-time and about 100 adjunct faculty; 78% of the FTE is taught by masters/doctorate holders.

Casper College says that you are able to register and try a class, and drop it by a certain date for a full refund if you are not satisfied. I began a class, was a bit put off by the course content and had some big changes in my life that would prevent me from devoting the necessary time to the course, so I dropped the class the day before the required drop date for the full refund. I ended up having to go through a petition process and acquired late payment fees. In the end, Casper College only refunded me half of my money because I had participated in the course during the first two weeks. I still had late fees to pay. I'm very disappointed, not at all what I was expecting. I had originally planned to take several courses at Casper College, but will be looking elsewhere now.

I really liked the foreign language and theater department, but my last semester there was a disappointment. Still a good school though, especially for a town Casper's size.
