I loved the old Casuelas Cafe, it was welcoming the staff were the people you wanted to see once a week, but the new casuelas lost a lot in the renovation. It's loud unwelcoming and just sad cuz you can't even talk to the person across the table from you. It looks good, but it's not all about the looks, I ordered my same nacho's as I have always ordered and they were half the size and more expensive. The margaritas lost the alcohol it seems and feel sorry for the staff cuz what was once a fun time now is just another tourist destination without much for the locals. I love Pam, Alex, Franco and all the staff that will keep me coming back, just not as often as I used to go.

Tried this location for first time today and am so sorry we wasted time,money and calories. Service was great but food awful. Burrito had pre shredded yellow cheese inside that wasn't even melted. No excuse about kitchen being rushed as we were second group in for lunch. Chile Relleno was obviously reheated and salty batter was petrified..relleno was filled with celery instead of a decent size pepper. Will not be returning.

If you really think this place is good, you most likely don’t know how to cook or you know the owner and get free meals... To be fair this place years ago was much better. The atmosphere and service are still excellent!! Take away the alcohol you’d be left with your senses in tact but with a less than average taste in your mouth..

Prices have gone up a huge amount. I feel bad for the staff. We would go there once a week but can now get better food at a better price elsewhere.
