Cat Head's is a must-stop anytime I'm in Clarksdale. The owner not only has a fine establishment for blues lovers, but is a successful blues historian and film maker, as well. If he is there and you want to know about anything local, be sure and inquire. 

There is a great selection of music, books, folk art, and other collectibles. If you are an avid fan of blues music (which you darn well should be) you will love this place. If you're not, I'd recommend stopping inside anyway, you will still likely enjoy it.

Great guy who is incredibly knowledgeable about the local blues history as well as what's going on around town these days. Your first stop if you're looking for a good show tonight

This is a record, memorabilia, art, and book store.  I saw old festival and show posters for sale as well. The owner is a local blues enthusiast who also organizes blues festivals and has even written a book on delta blues. If you want to know what's happening in Clarksdale, you can't do better than the information on the store web site, or just by asking the owner while you're there. If you're in Clarksdale it's worth a visit.
