The Caterpillar Visitors Center is a fascinating look at the company, the iron and the people making sustainable progress possible around the world.

Story

Our visitor's favorite attractions are our Cat® 797F Mining Truck theater, Design Your Own Machine interactive, product simulators and the opportunity to sit in several pieces of Cat equipment on our Product Floor. The Caterpillar Visitors Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last ticket entry at 3:30 p.m.

This place is so fun, especially for kids! They have real Caterpillar equipment with stairs leading up to the doors so kids can play in them. They also have simulations so you can see what it's like to drive some of the equipment. There's also a lot you can learn, so it's a great place for adults too. They also have a gift shop.

This was a great experience for my three kids: 12,10 and 8. I worried a bit as 12 and 8 year old were girls. They enjoyed the big truck with a movie theater in it and they especially liked playing simulation of equipment use. We had a chance to learn about motors and molds. I personally feel that after playing few simulations I am ready to rent a bob can or similar equipment should I need it.

This is a fun place to take kids, especially boys or girls who like trucks and tractors. You can sit in a large bulldozer or steamroller, play on the simulators and see many other Caterpillar brand vehicles. The informational portion is interesting, telling about the history of the company and some of their technology.

Must see for public. Caterpillar at its finest! Cool activities for kids to adults and a store to purchase any CAT merchandise to fill your needs!

Great place to spend an afternoon with your family...We truly enjoyed our time at the visitors center. The truck movie is AWESOME
