Story

Barrington's original movie theater - still featuring one screen. The Catlow is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Interior design by noted Prairie School Sculptor/designer Alfonso Iannelli. Opened for business in May of 1927.
State of the art digital projection and sound presented in a comfortable historic atmosphere. In theater dining provided by Boloney's Sandwich Shop. The first theater in the US to offer in-theater dining back in 1988.

Love the quaint old theater. However you need to be contortionist to use the small bathroom stalls. So sorry to see the unique Baloneys Sandwich Shop replaced. We left when we saw our favorite sandwiches no longer on the menu. How we will miss Roberta sized Chicken of the Sea & Ruebenesque.

The Catlow is a great place for a movie and a bite to eat next door (food can also be delivered to you in theatre). Has up-to-date movies and some old ones, too. Great prices all the way around!

The heart of Barrington. One large historic theater with large screen and digital projectors. A restaurant connected to the theater provides sit down service in their space or will deliver food to your seat. Theater owner lets patrons choose what movies they show. A favorite for locals who don’t like the cineplex madness or prices. Best movie night option around.

Great little theater in the heart of downtown Barrington. Love being able to order Baloney's and bring it in to eat during the show. Their Chicken of the Sea salad is my favorite.

Great neighborhood theater to see a movie. Seats are very comfortable and a great experience all around. Look forward to watching another movie at the Catlow.
