The short version: competent, organized, friendly, patient, understanding, gentle, and obviously have you and your cat's best interests in mind. Oh, and worth mentioning because even though we would do ANYTHING for our pets we all have a budget: affordable. The long version: I finally got fed up with my own vet and went looking for a second opinion on something. My mind immediately went to that obnoxious commercial on the radio - you know, the one narrated in the nasally voice of Larry. Well, call it effective marketing, if nothing else! Here's my experience: First contact: I called and immediately a warm voice answered. I wasn't expecting that, so it took me a minute to recover and put my words together to explain my situation. And of course because my cat's health was on the line, I was getting emotional. The tech I spoke with was not only incredibly friendly and patient on the phone, but she asked me relevant questions, answered all my questions (even when I nervously asked them twice because I forgot), and offered to call my current vet to get my cat's file from them. I felt good about our conversation, so I agreed to let Catzablanca contact my [now old] vet and I set an appointment. The appointment: I brought my cat in, which is no small feat. She is about 80% hellbeast and 20% adorable princess just acting cute because she's goading you into a false sense of security before she strikes, which could happen at any time, there's no warning. Inside the exam room there's a floor to ceiling cat tree, toys, a bench for humans to sit on, and the usual vet setup: counter, sink, etc. Everything was super clean and in order - but it didn't have that foreboding /sterile/ feel to it, like the dark cloud that sits near the ceiling of most vet offices. A tech talked with me, we discussed my concerns, why I was unhappy with my current vet, and then the vet came in. She examined my cat - and no one so much as batted an eye when the cat swiped at them. They very calmly put on some gloves and continued about their business. My old vet jumped away from the cat when she so much as hissed and refused to touch her because of her temperament. Catzablanca just carried on with their job. We reviewed the last vet's test results together, and the vet patiently went through each line item, explaining to me what each test was for, what the results of each test meant, and how those results played into the plan of action for my cat. I was there for an hour and a half - ONLY because I was a wreck and asked far too many questions and refused a blood pressure test and then after packing up agreeing to the test and having to set back up in the exam room again. And you know what? The entire time I was there, I NEVER once felt rushed by anyone at Catzablanca. The treatment: my 17 year old cat needed teeth extracted. My old vet told me to drop her off in the morning, go to work, and pick her up that same afternoon. He also cautioned me far too many times about the very real risk of my cat not waking up from the anesthesia. Hence my neurotic behavior in our first appointment with Catzablanca. Catzablanca had a different approach. They would keep her a night before and a night after the procedure, give her IV fluids, monitor her for fever and infection, feed her, keep her calm, and do all of this for over $500 less than my old vet. And the kicker: I could visit any time I wanted! And I did. And they never once judged me for it. The office: everyone there is incredibly friendly, I honestly wanted to hug them all when I picked up my cat (but I refrained!). They have everything you could possibly need for sale right there in the lobby, and cheaper than you'd find online at Chewy (trust, I looked). Also they're not even 5 minutes off 91. If you've made it to the end of this review, bravo! I know it's long-winded, but if you're reading online reviews in their entirety, you probably want all the info you can get, so I hope this helped. I honestly am so happy with Catzablanca. They put me at ease about my cat's situation and took tremendous care of her.

Every time I brought my cats into Catzablanca Cat Clinic for simple annual exams and shots they tried to get me to agree to tooth extractions and overnight stays for tests. My cats' teeth were fine. They are very healthy and active so why conduct tests??? They said it was a "precautionary measure." I finally couldn't afford the place and went to another vet. I asked her about the tests that Catzablanca wanted. My vet laughed and said that it was not for the cat it was a way for the vet to make money. SHE ALSO TOLD ME THAT DR. DUPONT IS A SCIENTOLOGIST!!!

Uses high pressure tactics to take advantage of grieving pet owners. We went there for a second opinion about an elderly cat who's health had recently taken a turn for the worse. They said the cat would likely die with in the next few hours, and it would be inhumane to not euthanize it. Now if the cat was convulsing or having seizures or something like that I might have agreed but it wasn't. It was simply laying there peacefully. After already paying $100 for the visit, they bullied my fiance (who's cat it was and had the final say) into euthanizing it even though we said we wanted to bring the cat home. They said it would be another $100, I was against it but didn't want to make a scene, we went to pay and, oops, turns out it will be another $165, not $100 they refused to honor their first quote I argued about it but they just had to have that extra $65. It made a sad day much worse and now whenever I think of our departed friend I will be reminded how they took advantage of us. I hope this review costs them much more than $165.

I took my cat for Grooming. She needs to be sedated to be groomed. Within two days of bringing her home, she had a vicious urinary track infection which took 6 weeks and three different antibiotics to cure. I can't prove it came from Catzablanca but I will never go back
