After calling many seamstresses in the area, I came across Cave Spring Cleaners and Alterations.  She has experience with all types of fabrics (including silk chiffon); she knows how to manipulate the fabrics so they fall naturally and no one would ever guess that the article had been altered.  Additionally, she can tailor pants and jackets!  Trust me, she knows what she is doing.  One time I tried “the best” seamstress in Roanoke, BIG mistake; the alteration was done incorrectly, took forever and cost way more.  

Cave Spring Cleaners is reasonably price, has a quick turn around and does a great job.  I have sent many friends to her and they have all had the same great experience.  She even perfectly altered a dress within days of the event for my roommate!  

Also, the dry cleaning service is reliable and I have never had an item returned damaged.
