All the reviews about how BAD Cenlar are true!
Customer service reps are nasty and even though they took my money in escrow, the were late paying my insurance premium!
I had to pay $4100+ out of pocket, so my insurance doesn't lapse.
Whats wrong with that picture?

I did not ask for this company to manage my loan.
Peoples Bank gave it to them.

Cenlar overdrafted over $800 from my account. 11 phone calls, multiple un-returned voicemails (over a 4 month period) and I still have not received my money back. Unbelievable experience. Run for the hills folks

What a F joke this company is!!! I requested on 2 different occasions for a new payment book since our taxes went up, making our mortgage $14 more a month.  They said they mailed it both times, but I never received it. I even spoke with the post master to make sure there wasn't an issue on there end.  

So last month, i paid our mortgage with the old statement book and totally forgot that i had to add $14 for the new mortgage amount.  So I get a call from a representative from CENLAR who states that they received and cashed my check for our monthly mortgage but that they have to refund me for being $14 short. I asked if I could make a payment for the $14 over the phone, but they said that they have already mailed me back a refund check for the whole mortgage amount and that I would receive it in 10 days!!!! Are you serious??? Now, I have to wait to receive there check, deposit it at the bank and send a payment back to them for the full amount instead of just paying the $14 i was short over the phone or by check.  The only reason I'm with this POS company is because we refinanced and they bought our mortgage. Now I'm looking at other options to get away from this company.

As you will read below, this company is the worst.  I was trying to make a one time payment to eliminate PMI.
1) website is terrible and difficult to use and you have to make payment of one time lump sum plus your monthly payment or you can't go through
2) you can't pay more than 10K online or with their automated system or with their representatives which caused me to try to wire the money
3) they returned my wire transfer because it had 'the wrong account number' and that was all after I was on the phone with this company for 30 minutes while in my bank just to get their routing number and their name as it appears for the wire transfer.  one representative gave us a wrong number (more than 9 digits) and then without asking routed us to the automatic payment option (which is not possible to use if you are trying to pay more than 10K at a time).   Another had to place us on hold to find the routing number.  For the love of god the routing number should be accessible and easy to find.

Hope you enjoy liens against your house. We do appraisals and have not been paid by this company leading us to file two liens against the homes we appraised. Have fun!!!
