As Muhlenberg County's Station 2,the Central City Fire Department strives to fulfill all the needs required by federal government laws set in by OSHA and the NFPA, state laws and statutes set in by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and KCTCS, and the local community. With countless hours of training and experience, these firefighters put it all on the line - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Station 2 is comprised of 7 full-time paid firefighters and approximately 30 volunteers.
