Aluminum Ceramic Coating:
Provides a superior layer of thermal protection against high temperature corrosion and oxidation. The Aluminum/Ceramic matrix provides continuous protection up to 1,375°F (745°C ) and will endure intermittent exposure to 1,500° F (815 °C).
Anti Weld Spatter:
Is an all purpose guard against welding spatter adhering to metal in unwanted places during the welding process.
Such applications may be ideal for: Weld details, locator pins and bases.
Carbon Composite Coating:
A thermal barrier coating process for the protection of carbon composite material and components, providing a defense against resin deterioration and delamination.
Such applications may be ideal for: panels, heat shields, brake parts and exhaust ducts
Dry Film Lubricants:
Fluoropolymer coatings are blends of high performance resins and fluoropolymer lubricants. These single coat thin films provide excellent corrosion and chemical resistance. When applied to ferrous and non-ferrous metals a protection is provided from corrosive chemicals in environments up to 460° or more.
Other benefits of fluoropolymer coatings include reduced friction, resistance to galling, non stick, non wetting, electrical resistance and abrasion resistance.
Such applications may be ideal for: Piston skirts, rocker shafts, rocker arms, valve springs, and screws.
Powder Coating:
Is a material applied to parts using an electrostatic or compressed aire technique. The applied powder is then cured to the melting point of the resin, which then flows to a smooth thin film. After cooling, the powder coating cures to form a durable finish which is very resistant to scratches, cracking, peeling, UV rays and corrosion.
Such application may be ideal for: all types of metal substrates, from steel, aluminum, hot dipped galvanized steel as well as extruded architectural aluminum, used in windows & doors.
Protective Coatings:
Are applied to parts and assemblies to isolate and prevent materials from reacting with external gasses, liquids or solid elements, which may cause deterioration of the base material. Protective coatings may be applied in many different mediums.
Careful consideration should be extended when selecting the appropriate protective coating, please contact our technical staff for assistance.
Sandblasting
Describes the act of propelling very fine bits of material at high-velocity to clean or etch a surface, upon which to apply your desired coating.
Central Connecticut Coatings sandblasts all parts prior to coating.
Thermal Barrier Coating:
Is a coating to insulate the thermal conductivity of the base metal.
Such applications may be ideal for: Piston domes or the bottom of an intake manifold.
