When I purchased my new house, the first thing I wanted to do before moving in was to have the entire inside of the home repainted.  The previous owners had used a relative to paint the inside, and it was not a quality job, particularly in the closets.  It was also a very neutral and bland cream color that just didn't fit with my tastes.  I want my house to look sharp, stylish, well put together, and have the colors that make me feel comfortable and really feel at home.  I want to have a warm, inviting place to have guests over.  I knew that I couldn't handle the painting myself and that I would need a professional company to do the work.  I got several quotes and decided to hire Central Indiana Painting.

I had already picked most of the colors before I contacted painting companies, and Terry from Central Indiana Painting helped me make a few final decisions that turned out great.  I appreciate his advice and real involvement in the job.  It was clear from the start that he really cared about the final outcome of the work.  They repainted the entire inside of the home (except the master bath which I am going to remodel), following all of my instructions perfectly about which colors I wanted.   The high gloss white trim and doors look fantastic and really “pop” against the wall colors.  Almost all of the trim needed caulking and it looks fantastic now!  They repaired settling cracks in my walls and vault ceilings, making my house look new again.  They were able to work with my schedule and completed the job on the day they said they would, always arrived on time for appointments, and left the house locked the way I asked.  I am very pleased with the work!

It’s always nice to see great work, but how do you know a company will stand behind its work?  Can you have confidence in a company that should you need help or a repair, that they will be there for you?  You can have confidence in Central Indiana Painting.  Accidents happen and it’s not the end of the world, but how a company handles mistakes can really tell you about the character of the company.  On the last day of work, there was a minor mishap at some point and a little bit of paint got on the carpet in a few spots in one room and the adjoining hallway.  We didn't really see that the discoloration was paint during the final walk-through because of the lighting.   But once night fell, I could see that it was paint and where it was, so I emailed Terry the next morning and asked him to call a specific carpet cleaning company that I trust.  Some companies might have argued with me, but Terry sincerely apologized, and repeatedly assured me that they would make everything right.  He immediately called the cleaning company I asked for and scheduled the spot removal.  Everything turned out great and I feel I have a proven relationship with Central Indiana Painting that they will stand behind their work.

The crew was extremely polite, friendly, and accommodating.  During the first day of work, I had to meet the installers to hook up my internet connection.  It took the installers 3 hours to get that work done and all the while they were getting in the way of the painting crew, being disrespectful of the new paint and painters, and just generally blundering around like bulls in a china shop.  But the guys from Central Indiana Painting kept right on working, being absolutely polite and dealing professionally with the rude Internet installers - even moving to other areas of the house to be out of the way of the technicians.  I’m very appreciative of the painters’ great attitudes about the whole thing!

I highly recommend this company and I will most definitely hire them again for my painting needs!

I found Central Indiana Painting on Thumbtack purely by accident.  We needed to "spruce" up our mother's home to sell as part of her estate.  Living in Austin, TX and managing a job to be done in Kokomo, IN was expected to be a challenge but Terry Boehning made it very simple.  First, he was very empathetic to our situation and was very patient.  Initial conversations were by phone with many follow up conversations via email.  My brother lives in town and helped to coordinate the activities, I worked with Terry on the contract from Texas, and my sister in Florida chose the colors.  As we had several weeks to plan, Terry's team arrived on site the day he committed and finished same day.  Job included two coats of paint on all interior walls and ceilings within a ~1,000 sq ft home along with painting trim on the exterior of the home.  Also included was to power-wash the exterior of the home (aluminum siding) though once the team arrived on site, they recommended not to power-wash as this would likely discolor the finish due to the age and condition (home built in 1959).  I concurred and Tony provided a credit to the quote for the power-washing.  Feedback from my brother who observed the finished job was favorable.  Only down-side he noted was that a couple windows were painted shut and took some effort to open after the paint dried.  Would have been good if the windows were left open slightly once painted to avoid this.  In summary, Terry was very easy to work with and the job was reasonably priced.  His team showed up when expected and completed the job as expected.  They were clean and professional.  I would recommend Central Indiana Painting.

I found this company through a posting on Thumbtack. They came in on budget and ahead of schedule. I would use them again and recommend them to friends/neighbors.
