Well, I was reading the reviews and I have to say that I've been in Moriarty 8 months and I have had excellent service. First to turn services on to our house was trouble free, now we're building a shop we had to have them located the existing path so we can dig. CHAD & KEN showed up completed what they needed to do, stayed and talked a few minutes and shared a few laughs. Great guys, the kind of guys you'd invite to a Bbq. Mickey came by, he too was a great guy, then you have Vicki at the office she knows her business and is very helpful plus she has a great sense of humor. No issues, so far. Ha ha

The office is beautiful - shows where our 'coop' dollars go. Certainly not to maintaining electricity to customers. Our power goes out all the time, no one will ever talk to us on the phone, and there is zero service. Can't believe I have to pay these people to buy my solar power, and my power still goes out regularly.

Terrible company. Rates are ridiculously high - we pay nearly $200 a month every single month for the past three years often over $200 during the winter - house is 1500 sf, nothing other than (all high efficiency and new) appliances are run during daytime hours, few lights at night time. Constant surges, flickering, brownouts. The last power outage in August 2017 lasted nearly 48 hours - due to downed poles that "had to be shipped from out of state" REALLY?? You're a power company and you don't have basic supplies for back up?? How long have you been in business? Two days?? Come on, get it together. And the customer service is terrible! They are rude and arrogant - and forget having anyone answer a phone or being about to get onto their website during an outage. PNM wasn't much better with their ridiculous constant rate increases BUT at least we had power and no surges and brownouts. Why call this a coop??

Worst electric company I have ever dealt with. I went solar but still at this company's mercy when the power goes out. No communication when electric is out. When and if you can speak to a human they treat you as if you are bothering them. We are in the middle of a blackout going on 35 hours due to this company being ill prepared. Worst part is communication. Expected restore time changed six times. Seems like a very dishonest company.

When we first signed up with CNMEC for electric services in October 2016, the receptionist at the office was very friendly and helpful. We experienced a few power outages throughout the year, but they all seemed to be weather related so we weren't bothered by them. I typically don't leave reviews, especially negative ones, but what we experienced as we were getting ready to move out-of-state a few weeks ago was not pleasant and was, frankly, unacceptable. We called mid-September to schedule to have our electricity shut off on Saturday, 9/30, the day we were leaving our residence, and had experienced no problems getting that scheduled. On Friday afternoon, 9/29, a gentleman from CNMEC stopped by our house. My husband was busy packing up the moving truck, in and out of the house, but saw him arrive and assumed that the gentleman was simply checking our meter because we had scheduled our power be turned off the following day. The next thing he knows, the power is cut while he's inside the house and by the time he got outside to talk to the gentleman, he had already gotten in his work truck and driven away. We tried calling the office immediately to see if we could get the gentleman to come back before he got too far away. We told them what had happened and asked to have the power restored until the next day or Monday because we were still at our house for another day, we were told that if we restored power we may be charged another setup fee, got transferred to someone else and had to leave a voicemail. A short while later, the woman we were transferred to called back and told us that our power was shut off on Friday because "they don't work on the weekend." So we asked if it could be turned back on and then shut off on Monday, she said she would see where the technician was and call back. When she called back, she said they couldn't turn the power back on because the technician was already working on other jobs that were too far away and wouldn't be able to return. Her tone of voice made it seem like she was not at all concerned with our problem. In my opinion, nothing that happened on Friday, 9/29, was acceptable. We would have had no issues extending our electric service through Monday, 10/2, had we'd been told when we called in mid-September that they would be unable to disconnect our electricity on Saturday because they don't work on weekends. Instead, we were left without power while we were still at our residence. Moving is already a stressful process, and this experience made it even more so.
