I work in a building very very close by, I use this parking garage everyday. My company provides 24 hour access to the garage via our personalized key fobs. It is very normal of me to work late hours as i often do. One night in particular, i was working late and when it was time to leave, i was unable to open the garage door . In fact there were 3 other cars behind me experiencing the same issue. When i called the number listed in the garage for assistance, I was transferred to an employee (self proclaimed Manager of the lot). Within the first 45 seconds in speaking to this "Manager", i became very disappointed because he was extremely rude and insensitive to our need to get out the garage. Even though he was standing on the opposite side of the door( which i later found out), HE proceeded to tell us it would take him 30min before he could address the situation. after a 35 minute waitl the "manager" spoke very disrespectful to me and elderly woman who was also waiting to get out of the garage. He demanded that we both pay him $50.00 (on top of the $19.00 all day fee that we already paid)cash if we wanted get out of the garage. I have never felt so much disrespected and insulted ever in my life. I felt appalled and embarrassed for Central Parking Company because the "Manager" was a poor reflection of their company who before this incident, i had a great level of respect and admiration for. Its extremely unfortunate that the actions of one individual can taint the perception for all. To add insult to injury, the manager took 45-50 minutes just to manually open the garage and was still trying to demand $50.00 in cash. I will be sacrificing a convenient place to park for a few extra blocks of walking to avoid any repeats of the incident that took place Thursday, October 23, 2014 between the hours of 8:00 - 9:15 PM at Location #206 1225 eye st NW Washington DC parking garage. NOTE TO ALL IN THE AREA OR VICINITY OF THE THIS GARAGE....TAKE YOUR SERVICE AND MONEY ELSEWHERE BECAUSE THE MANAGER(S) RUNNING THIS GARAGE DOES NOT WANT IT. EXCUSE ME. THEY WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DISRESPECT YOU WHILE THEY DO IT. #LESSONLEARNED
