If you search for free parking this is the option presented to you by the City administration. OK, I wasn't expecting reach people/cities to give something for free but see this, you cannot pay in fractions. If you arrive at 6pm and want to leave at 7:10pm you pay for two hours. The rich got greedy it looks like. For three hours and 10 minutes I was supposed to pay 7.20€. This is 4 full hours at 1.80€ an hour. Price per hour? Excessive. But they are smart. You are not allowed to park anywhere else in the city without getting a fat fine at home after that. I get it, the cement costs money. Also, using land outside the city to provide tourists with free parking is fair and respectful. You cannot say you don't discriminate when you make sure certain people cannot stop by and snap at least a picture. I was twice to Bolzano and I will avoid this city in the future. Only bad karma there. Another issue I have is the velox in Italy. You get signs for 90 and 70 but you never know when you get into a city and the 50 line starts. Then, right after the corner sits a velox ready to take advantage of you going more than 55. Another way to rip-off tourists like me that don't know how things work in Italy. Of course, everything is made in such way to force you use the motorway and pay the 40€ from Trento to Rome something like this. Italy has Venice and Rome. The rest? Fake.
It says 24 hours, and it is. However, you first need to find the somehow hidden night entrance for cars and then you have to walk outside on the street in the middle of the night in a rather bad area. Not very safe for women....
very close to the Bozen downtown and very clean.
This place is very dirty and falling apart. The price is very high so try to avoid it. The elevators are not in sync and the buttons often don't work on the first try. The location is pretty good though giving you direct access to the city centre through an underground passage. There is also always plenty of space. Best alternative is the parking at Fiera near the train station Bz sud with which you can access the centre, alternatively the bus line 10.
