It's a beautiful park with a good network of hiking trails and most importantly clear lakes. The fishing is allowed if you follow the rules. You can catch smallmouth and rock bass.

Quiet, serene, peaceful. Terrific hiking trails and well-separated and treed campsites.Pretty lakes, and the hikes up to the viewpoints are rewarding. Dog-friendly and Kid-Friendly to boot!

This is a great place if you love camping, being in nature, and think radios and generators belong in the city.

Some of the trail infrastructure is getting rickety (boardwalks, stairways etc.) and needs replacing. Same with the various facilities - showing some wear and tear - but still very useable and functional.

Beautiful place deep in nature. Lots of walking trails. Very quiet even during construction holidays. Dry toilets everywhere. Clean shower facilities.
CONS
Far from any towns. Small sites for a camper. Roads were difficult with a pop-up camper and my jeep. Drinking water is scarce. Little to no cell signal.
