Ybor City is unique as a successful town almost entirely populated and owned by immigrants. The neighborhood had features unusual among contemporary communities in the south, most notably its multi-ethnic and multi-racial population and their many mutual aid societies. The cigar industry employed thousands of well-paid workers, helping Tampa grow from an economically depressed village to a bustling city in about 20 years and giving it the nickname "Cigar City"

Great fun area for adults and kids. Movies, shops, restaurants, bars, it has it all! One great place to comfortably walk around. Parking garage was easy to find. Lots of lights and people. Very nice time.

Usually we go to Ybor to have drinks, go to the movies, eat some grub, or go to a outdoor street event. Parking can be an issue depending on the time and day you go. There's a lot to see and do in Centro Ybor, bar hopping is a main attraction. You can always catch an entertaining show at Hamburger Mary's and get a tasty burger too. There's also a farmer's market during the day on the weekends, so check it out.

Loved this Historic District. It has very interesting history & Wild Chickens 😊 The whole District seems to be going through changes for the better. Lots of place to eat & then places to party when the sun goes down. Lool forward to seeing them restore this beautiful district. Don't forget your Hand Rolled Cigars while your visiting.

I walk a few miles to get here about every week so I can spend some nice quite quality alone time with the chickens. I remember the first time I found one of the chickens. It tickled my heart and left my soul wanting more. More chickens. Ever since that day I've resulted to a bi weekly session of chicken chat.
