Great service, awesome staff

Century Bank has been an outstanding Corporate Citizen helping local charities. The Sloane Family want to be a part of the community.  Holly and her team are helpful when you go to the Andover Branch.  This is what banking should be like.

I was looking to applied for a Home equity line of credit when I received a brochure from Century Bank at my house which showed their rate and what they need. I contacted them at the phone number that was listed on the brochure and I spoke to them about my qualification and they told me what they wanted. 

After I submitted all the documents they needed, few weeks later they came back to me with a denial. I asked them why; they gave me two reasons that contradicted the original information they provided. 1. They said they use the assessed value of the house, after I applied it became the purchase price of the house. 2. I provided information to them regarding my income that was not taken into account.

At this point I didn't really care and I figure I would apply at DCU as I originally intended so I asked them to remove the credit inquiry from my credit report because they made the mistake but they refused. I have an 800 credit score and I wanted to keep it this way.

I will not use Century bank in the future and I do not recommend anyone to use them.
