Our Center is premised on the idea that every individual has an indispensable contribution to make to the totality of the human experience and is deserving of respect and dignity. The Chabad Center, located on 120th and Shirley Streets assists all regardless of race, creed, or social standing. With an emphasis on serving the whole individual, our Food Pantry provides opportunities to expand the mind, excite the heart and touch the soul, as we fill empty pantries and hungry bellies. Additionally, we offer crisis intervention and counseling, prison and hospital chaplaincy, support for individuals receiving extensive medical treatment, and spiritual guidance and healing.
To improve the world though education, action, and loving kindness; to help realize a moral, G-dly world in which honesty, integrity, a sense of meaning and purpose, respect, responsibility for one another, knowledge, security, and peace prevail.
We recognize the innate goodness in humankind and seek to inspire and empower all people to maximize their potential on life's journey - with joy, passion, and enthusiasm.
To accomplish that, we work with all denominations, cultures, and faiths and reach out to help rather than wait to be called upon.
Chabad is not supported by a membership fees. We are funded locally by donations and contributions from generous individuals and foundations.
