Mission

Chabad of Virginia is dedicated to serving the needs of every Jew throughout Virginia. By channeling Chabad’s unique philosophy, we aim to provide an unparalleled Jewish Education and an increased sense of awareness, inspiration, and joy for the beauty of Judaism. Our non-judgmental attitude creates a space where everyone, regardless of background or affiliation, can grow as an individual as well as become part of a community.
Chabad’s programs include the Chabad Community Shul, TAG Hebrew School, Aleph-Bet Pre-School, Adult Education, Summer Camp, Friendship Circle, Holiday Events, and the Mikvah. Via these programs, we help foster your connection to the Richmond community and to the Jewish people as a whole.
Even with our tremendous growth over the past 35 years, we are never satisfied. At Chabad we are always striving to create new programs and attract ‘new’ Jews who may have no affiliation at all. Additionally, we are working to improve our existing programs and implement a more cohesive approach which will benefit not only the organization as a whole but each of its parts individually.
