We stayed two nights. A sign in the driveway said a bear was active on camp, but little did we know we would find one sitting at our picnic table with us!!!! We were enjoying a late dinner by the fire when we turned around and saw a grown black bear with its paws on the table behind us, at most 3 feet eye to eye. We slowly stood up and backed away and he did the same. No sweat! Then the next day we got to see a moose wandering through our loop. Amazing! Trees are plentiful so this campground is decently private, facilities are well-maintained, scenery and hiking are excellent, and camp hosts were a tremendous help and offered fun conversation. Highly recommend this underrated gem!

My only wish was that the hosts were available to take care of loud campers. Otherwise we loved camping there, very clean.

One of our favorite spots. Beautiful all year round, from camping to snow shoeing.

The hosts were amazing. The vault toilets were very clean and smelled good most of the time. The campground was well maintained.

Camped here in mid August, great to get out of the heat of lower elevations. Totally amazing scenery. Only had one night, will come back for a couple next year. Star gazing was off the charts. Stayed in the tent loop which I think is site 48-55 or so. Short walk (as in you can almost throw a rock into it from the sites) to the lake and swimming or fishing. Water was cold but very refreshing.
