Chaparral Veterinary Center was founded in 1984 with a focus on the future. This award winning facility was built to reflect the type of veterinary practice we wanted to bring to South Texas: Clean, bright, professional and efficient. We provide world class quality veterinary medicine in the comfort of a small town environment.

We continually add to our services through continuing education involving our entire staff. Providing the highest quality of veterinary care takes a commitment to excellence. Dedication and hard work earned our facility a merit award and runner-up in Veterinary Economics Magazine for Hospital of the Year in the Veterinary Economics Hospital Design Contest in 1989. In addition, Dr. Clader was named the General Practitioner of the Year in the state of Texas in 1996.

This clinic was a Blessing to us.  Our small male chihuahua caught some sort of bug or virus and became ill that went from bad to worse in a short period of time.  The clinic quickly took us in and provided some of the best treatment my pets have ever received.  Wonderful facility that is exceptionally clean, and the staff is just as wonderful!  A week later, our other pet came down with the same illness.  Again, they put us in for treatment without any hassle.  Happy pet owner who will definitely be switching clinics.

Loved this vet. I had an emergency with one of my little fur babies at 10 p.m. at night while we were traveling. I called there emergency number and got there answering service who passed on the info to the oncall vet who called me back in less than 5 minutes. She was so caring and met me at there office.  She was wonderful and so thorough with her exam of my little Pomeranian and personally called me the next afternoon to check on how he was doing and if the shots and medicine he was given was helping him. Would absolutely use them again if I were in the area again and needed veterinary care for one of my furbabies.

Very friendly staff. I loved the knowledge of the veterinarian and I love how they made my cat feel better..I mean he literally stopped getting sick. He is doing so much better..

The staff was very nice caring and sympathetic   although my trip there was in hopes to save my puppy they did everything they could but my puppy was sold to me with Canine Coccidiosis which caused him to have to be put down at 8 weeks old. I thank the staff for thier sympathy on a very sad and devastating day

We are new to the area & our yorkie needed vet care and Chaparral is the only place that would take her in, the staff is so friendly & they handled our furbaby with extreme care & gentlness so that's who we use now.
