Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Garden has provided funeral services for Northwest Indiana since 1999 and cemetery services since the 1960s. Our commitment to families has remained unchanged and yet we have always responded to the changing needs of the community.

The funeral home is located on the southeast corner of the Chapel Lawn Cemetery grounds, where it provides families the convenience of one location to hold their funeral and cemetery services. The 18,000-square-foot funeral home is an architectural blend of contemporary with the traditional. It features a fully equipped kitchen, large lounge area and a children's playroom. It offers two visitation rooms with skylights and the Gregory Shapen Memorial Chapel, which has a glass-front vista and pew seating for 200 guests.

Our cemetery grounds span 120 gently rolling acres of northern Indiana prairie. The seasonal beauty of the trees, ornamentals and landscaped gardens creates a peaceful setting to visit, to honor and to meditate.

We are pleased to offer our families a variety of choices ranging from traditional ground burial, cremation niches, mausoleum entombment and lawn crypt burial. We also offer private mausoleums, which can provide peace of mind for two and is the most secure and dignified form of burial),and two types of community mausoleums. The atrium Garden of Peace Mausoleum provides covered sidewalk access to the garden crypts. Our Chapel of Angels Mausoleum has a choice of interior mausoleums (heated and air conditioned) and exterior crypts. Ground burial with a family monument or individual lawn-level memorials is also offered. Twenty of our gardens offer ground-level memorials, which give the cemetery a wide-open park atmosphere. Our Garden of Friendship offers upright family monuments.
