We are a family owned and operated funeral home serving the valley for over 100 years. Our prices our very competitive and we believe in fairness and professional service. When you loved on is entrusted unto our care, they come here and stay for duration of all their services. NONE of our services are contracted out like our competitors.

UPDATE:  Micheal (the owner)personally reached out to me and was very compassionate and understanding, he was more than helpful and reassuring that this would not happen again............ Unprofessional.  Would never come back!  On so many levels I'm unhappy.  This place finds every excuse to charge, and be late.  The very first day we showed up (with an appointment) Stephanie was 45 mins late to see us because a family who didn't have an appointment showed up minutes before us....Stephanie's excuse was that they were supposed to call first but they didn't so I just decided to see them. Second, We were supposed to view my dad's body the following day and was told the day of that they needed to reschedule due to no rooms being available....Are you kidding me??? I thought we made an appointment once again? Last but not least the urn... I had brought in mini keepsake urns but also wanted a bigger urn and purchased one through them . STEPHANIE reassured me that it would be there in 2days when his remains were ready to be picked up. So 2 days later I show up with my brother as planned hands my brother his urn and tells me..."I'm sorry but yours will  be here tomorrow, they wanted to charge an additional  $45 for shipping. " what ? Where was this charge/information when I purchased it 2 days ago!? She informed me once again it would be ready the following morning and that the man in charge of cremation has put a portion of my dad to the side ...ok great. Here it is the following morning and Stephanie sees me but barely acknowledges me because well she doesn't need to talk /deal with me anymore. Just rude! Anyways another woman comes to help while Stephanie takes off. This lady brings in the mini keepsakes and opens the box there in with teeny tiny bag of ashes ... we were both confused as to what it was for. I was thinking "don't tell me that that's what I'm getting in the significantly bigger urn? " sure enough it was ! The urn was not ready with my dad's remains and Stephanie's notes on the box said "extra small portion to the side " wow! Either he took it literally or she meant what she wrote! I was under the impression that i would get a bit more .The keepsakes were filled to the top and the  $180 urn I purchased had basically nothing. Which means my brother who left back where he's from has a completely filled urn. I'm so heart broken . This place has no respect and are disgraceful. I would not recommend this place to anyone EVER. Save the heart ache, time and money because they do not value any of it . I apologize if this review seems a bit all over the place but I feel like I have so much to say and didn't really know where to begin. Really hope this helps you make a decision .

We recently lost my uncle and it was unexpected. Burying a loved one before their time is already hard enough. The funeral director Michael Rabara was very patient with our family. Unfortunately, we had last minute changes and Chapel of the Light was able to accommodate us. He helped us make decisions and streamline the process to make it as easy as possible. Chapel of the Light staff as a whole, does an impeccable job. Their empathy, patience and customer service was amazing. I would recommend Chapel of the Light  to anyone located in the Fresno area! They literally went above and beyond to meet our needs.from the Garza Family..... THANK YOU!

My family and I Recently had services for my mom in April, it was a beautiful service the staff is really friendly and helpful, they were really caring and understanding and worked with our budget, we just wanted to thank them for everything they did for us, I would really recommend this place for your loved ones

Greatly sadden from my experience yesterday during my father's service. We got bumped out of the chapel to accommodate a relative of there staff my funeral director Stephanie Fox did not want to face me. She was no where to be found.  My priest was late program was all messed up didn't even do the rosary. We got put in a small corner some of our guess started to leave cause we run late. Then to make it worse the price I was given was not honored tried to give me $600 discount which basically put us back to original price. I was not able to sleep last because I felt so sad on how everything turned out no money can buy to take back the time I should of been honoring my father's memory and spending time with my friends and family some even came from LA. I felt so abandoned Stephanie kept saying don't worry I'll be with u every step the fact is she was handing to many cases and took my father for granted. It's almost 5pm still haven't heard everything going to be fine for my father's funeral tomorrow at 10 30.
