our food was mid at best, all tasted the same despite ordering 3 different dishes. seems like they douse everything in sesame oil. none of it was authentic. we waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. our server told us the kitchen was prioritizing another table over everyone else’s food and went to the back to dance and talk for 30 minutes. paper straws are gross, food is mid, left us for 20 minutes without bringing the rice for the stew we ordered. our server also felt the need to badmouth the kitchen to our table and curse them. overall unprofessional and not worth it for the quality of food. do better
Very nice atmosphere with delicious food. Service was a bit spotty and slow. Waitress never came back to ask if we wanted any additional drinks and they didn't take away our dirty plates, but initially, our order was taken quickly. Just seems like we were forgotten about after that. Yummy food though with classy surroundings.
seriously such a hidden gem downtown, i go there every month and there’s very few people dining when i dine in however the restaurants atmosphere is beautiful and the place has wonderful seating of varying party sizes and the food is amazing - i have only had problems with the servers being infrequent with checking in but overall the place is lovely and would recommend for anyone to try.
I got the bibimbap with tofu. Tofu was crisp on the outside just wish there was more of it. The rice was charred on the bottom as they served it in a cast iron dish. The rice in places was burned however so mixed feelings on that. The cauliflower appetizer was delicious just wish they had charred it a bit like they did with the shishito peppers on top. The sauce was delicious. The plum soju really was not drinkable. The plum Collins was good but wasn't strong enough and there wasn't much in the glass. The leaky chicken appetizer was delicious seemed like it was lightly fried on the outside as were the leek strips. Overall food is solid. Service was ridiculously slow and it was hard to get the servers attention when we needed it. However, she did help clean up a couple of spills which was much appreciated and she was in good spirits in general. Atmosphere was a bit too loud but the ambiance and overall presentation inside is very nice. Vegetarian options: Lots of options to get things with tofu and lots of vegetable options.
A very unique experience. I am compelled to withhold a star solely due to the service, which does not quite meet the high standard set by the cuisine itself. The culinary offerings in this restaurant are a delightful contribution to Milwaukee’s food scene, presenting a modern twist on traditional Korean dishes. While the menu may be limited, the drinks are truly a taste! I specially recommend their ginger and honey tea, and they galaxy lemonade. However, the service detracts somewhat from the restaurant’s luster, primarily due to a staff composed of Gen Zs who don't really care for providing service and are frankly RUDE. This disconnect between the quality of the food and the level of service is notable and an area ripe for improvement. To give you some perspective, we did a walk-in once and there was a graduation on the art school nearby. They didn't have reservations from the school or its members, yet they posted in the door they were not accepting walk-in unless you sit in the bar. The place was completely empty and it was raining. When we asked the staff they rudely said "we do this in anticipation of the folks graduating from the school. It our prerogative if we want to serve you ". Later they removed the sign and it turn out the staff was using it to reduce flow to the restaurant to take a break. Or at least that what we heard someone say, so mind for accuracy on my relay of this. Dietary restrictions: all the food here is spicy , very few mild options. Parking: there is a paid parking lot nearby. parking is very difficult. Kid-friendliness: somewhat kid friendly, if you have a stroller , there are steps Wheelchair accessibility: not accessible only at the bar
Great food, great atmosphere. We came in for lunch and it was a bit understaffed, had to wait more time for our food, but other than that we had a great time there. Owner and bartender were really nice.
The food here was really good but nothing crazy special. The dumplings where my favorite, very delicious. Even better with the Crème fraîche dip. The service how was excellent, top notch. Our bartender was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The cocktails were, as such, fantastic. Overall very much worth a visit.Food: 4/5
Would recommend this place if you are in the market for good Korean food in an elevated setting. Food came out hot and fresh and had great flavor, our server took good care of us and prices seemed reasonable for the quality of the food and atmosphere! Highlights include the sweet and spicy dumplings, beef bimbimbap and beef bulgogi Food: 5/5
Love the decor inside, not too busy for Friday night at 630pm. Group of 5 literally tried all 8 appetizers not a single one disappointed us. Everything was seasoned amazing and not a single dish tasted the same. The dumplings had a little spice, the pancake was good, small area was soggy but really great textures presented. The seasoning on the fries, fire! Edamame was seasoned well, we tried the lemon seasoning. The cauliflower was a little kick but to much, it comes toward the end of the bite. The shrimp and wings were really good too. We were not fans of the kimchi, just not for our tastebuds but literally we did not have a bad bite. Waiter was great and very attentive, drinks were descent, sangria pictures and lemonade as well. Would come back and literally eat the same as what we ordered, you won’t be disappointed ALSO you have to get the dessert, the waffle is sooo good and the ice cream… solid!
Great food and atmosphere. The spicy is certainly spicy. I don't understand the staffing situation. Friendly staff but damn was everything slow. The restaurant was maybe 15% full and no one at the bar on a Sunday evening -- and we still waited 15 minutes for a beer. What are y'all doing?Food: 4/5
