Great food , really clean and nice. Bathrooms were spotless. I had the cod and my wife had a burger bother were very good. Would have gave 5 stars but our sever was more interested in what was going on at the hostess station than filling up our drinks. Had to ask for refills often.

Two words, SALMON BURGER! It was delightful. The salmon burgers are  handmade in-house, but they are far from skimpy. The lemon aioli was a great compliment to the salmon. The CharBar is nestled in a very up and coming area in Mountain Brook adjacent to The Grand Bohemian Hotel. Although my order was to-go, I had a very pleasant experience from calling in to place my order, to my interaction with the bartender when picking up my meal. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I haven't eaten inside yet. I'll save that last star for the entire experience of dining in. I look forward to visiting the CharBar again in the near future.

I had the Smother Me Naked Chicken with the brussell sprouts and mushroom risotto. It was all amazing! I completely cleaned my plate! The atmosphere is laid back and the staff is tremendously friendly and respectful. I can't wait to go back and try something else!

Complete letdown. Ordered two apps and two drinks.  First app came out ok, second app came out and it was not what we ordered. Both were mediocre at best, think microwave dinner.  Drinks were good, hence the second star. Bill arrives and they tried to charge us for all 3 appetizers, even though it was their mistake. We didn’t keep the wrong one either.  Guy was like oh, I’m sorry, but he had that look of damn I just got caught. Don’t waste your time or money here, and if you go, I assure you that’s what you’ll be doing.  We were staying next door at the Grand Bohemian, so it was matter of convenience to walk over. Next time we will get in the car and drive somewhere else though.

Our company went there for lunch. Excellent food and variety of food. Service was slower than expected but pleasant. Enjoyed the patio!
