Established in 1947 in Lancaster City by founder Charles F. Snyder, Sr. after returning from WWII, the funeral home has four locations and has operated out of their original Lancaster City location since being founded. Our four Funeral Homes and on-site crematory are located throughout Lancaster County and are handicap accessible.

Unfortunately my boyfriend's father passed away and as tragic as it was, Chad at Charles F Snyder funeral home made the whole process easier. My boyfriend had no experience in the whole funeral process and Chad took over like an angel sent from heaven and helped with every single aspect of te funeral and burial. He was very professional and compassionate the entire time. The funeral home is very comforting and they even have a comfort dog (Ottis), Chad was there for the entire funeral making sure everything went well, he brought his team to direct people at the church. Everything was so nice and it was very comforting to have someone by your side that was concerned and attentive the entire one like Chad did, he even called my boyfriend to check on him a couple days after the funeral, he provided personalized thank you cards and prayer cards. I would definitely recommend this funeral home to anyone.

My younger brother died in a sudden and tragic car accident. The support staff at the Charles Snyder Funeral Home and in particular our funeral director John were amazing throughout the whole process. They helped us every step of the way with grace, care, and love. John made himself available every hour of the day, he helped us talk through final arrangements for my brother, he was happy to answer all kinds of questions and was very accommodating when we needed to make changes or take time to come to a consensus. I am so incredibly grateful to have had the kind folks at Charles Snyder help take care of my family in this difficult time

just recently I had to seek out a funeral home that would help me work out my daughters last wish,and what a wonderful place to find  wonderful caring people.worked with us on a budget of unexpected death of a loved one.thank you and GOD BLESS YOU ALL

The staff are very polite, respectful and professional. Flexible appointment schedule. Responded in a prompt &  courteous manner. They assisted our family during our difficult time. They are literally committed to the very end of the services.

Kelly, Josh and staff are very professional, provided a beautiful and perfect service for my Grandmother. We are grateful we choose them to take care of the funeral services. Extremely satisfied. Will recommend at a 100%. Thank you! God bless your work.
