It's always  good.... I'm a big fan of the bread . The Thursday Special is just a great take on the fresh mozz ,roast beef ,gravy and onions sandwich. It's always about good people ,doing good things. Just another reason to visit Bay Ridge .Food: 5/5

I had a #12 and a chicken parm hero, both were really very good!! I love the #12 on the menu. The people are nice and friendly. The customers walk in and chat with the you and them. The vibe is good. They look like they have been part of Brooklyn for years and are like family to the neighborhood!!!!!!

A truly authentic Italian sandwich shop. It’s a small place that’s unassuming so a real hidden gem. Absolutely delicious chicken parmigiana sandwich with perfectly toasted bread. Highly recommend!Recommended dishesChicken Parmig

Edit 1 year later: yesterday I overheard some old lady at the bar talk about how good Charlie’s is so I decided to give it another whirl and it was great, bread wasn’t as tough as the last 2 times. Wish there was more gravy on the roast beef but whatever it was still great  I just can’t give it more than a 3. I’ve had this place twice… the first time a few years ago and it was just eh, the second time, same.  Why? The bread is TOO HARD. They’d sell double the sandwiches if the bread wasn’t as hard. The only reason I gave a 3 was s because their sandwich selection looks really good. Just not good enough to spend money on to try them all since I know the bread will be too hard

If your in Brooklyn  you have to stop in and get a Sandwich at Charlie's Shop ,Trust me tou won't be Disappointed.Its always 100% Fresh and 100% Authentic cooking.

Old school Italian banging sandwiches!!! My fave spot to stop for food if I’m in the neighborhood!

Did some searching and saw this place had good reviews. Trying to feed 19 people we called ahead and ordered for pick up. Place had the sandwiches done in the exact time they said they would and they were deserving of EVERY. SINGLE. STAR. Literally everyone was talking about how good their sandwich was. I can’t decide if the food or the service was better. Super great guys behind the counter. We live in park slope but I’ll be back. It’s worth the travel. Do yourself a favor and grab some grub from this place. You will not regret it.

A gorgeous little spot in the area. We used to pick up at least once a week and were never disappointed. Charlie used to work at Paneantico, so he has experience in the business. Love the sandwiches. Always a friendly, great experience. My personal favorite is their Chicken Parmesan sandwich. They have super fast service as well, considering how many busy they get. It's a very worthwhile place to try.
