"Charuma is an authentic Taiwanese bubble tea shop that serves various types of special teas along with Taiwanese street quick foods. Charuma uses whole leaves to brew our tea and combines the bubble tea culture with the bar culture. There are two main drink categories on the menu, Classics and Tea-Tails. While the Classics are the more traditional beverages where the milk / fruit / toppings are added to the tea, Tea-Tails are beverages where bar techniques are introduced to create a special drink experience for the customers. Charuma imports our tea leaves and the seasonings from Taiwan to give our customers the best experience of Taiwanese food culture."

Always read about this place, so when I in the area I came to check it out. First walk in, the place looks kinda empty and there is no AC on super hot day. Had a super large table not sure why, probably will be better with 2 smaller tables. We ordered both popcorn chicken and chicken cutlets also sweet potato fries. Speed of the drinks and food was great. Popcorn chicken is crispy and had a lot of flavor, wish there is basil will be even better. Over all, food is great and reminds me home. Drink is acceptable nothing special about it. But for sure will come back for the popcorn chicken!
Well interior decor. Their specialty is homemade boba which taste really good. I like different milk options with Oat Milk, Half and Half or Almond Milk. I prefer fresh fruit tea versus syrup so I didn’t try any of the fruit tea. Hope service can be improved with more friendly attitude to customers. Strong fried chicken lack of ventilation upon walking in to the store.
1. Fried chicken filet was delicious!! Very authentic and close to the ones I’ve had in Taiwan! 5 stars!! 2. Tea was good in my bubble milk tea but bubble was overly sweetened and on the harder chewy side 3. Location is small and has strong frying oil smell Wouldn’t come back for the bubble but would be back for the chicken!

An absolute gem more people need to know about. This is not “just another boba shop,” it’s authentic Taiwanese boba, and Taiwan was the birthplace of bubble tea! High quality tea that so you can actually appreciate how each tea tastes unique. I love mixing and matching different tea varieties with different flavors and I’ve yet to be disappointed by any of them. If you need to fuel a night of studying, Charuma’s XL is quite literally the size of your head. As for food, the fried chicken cutlet with chili seasoning owns my soul. It tastes just like the famous street food you line up for in Taipei, and it’s one of the few foods I find myself craving in this city.
My first time having bubble tea but I could tell the quality of the ingredients and the care the owners have taken with this new business is wonderful. Everything is authentic and the true ingredients and seasoning of Taiwanese chicken cutlet which was absolutely delicious! Still go again!
Atmosphere: 5 Beautifully designed café. Love the seating area and the wall of tea canisters along the wall. I want one! The menu had a few things blocked out as sold out, which was a bummer. However, they did have a sign saying that many of their ingredients are shipped from Taiwan and due to delays are currently unavailable. That's understandable. Portion: 5 I ordered their black milk tea and added their crystal boba. Their drink sizes are standard and my drink had a sufficient amount of boba. We also ordered their sweet potato fries in their seaweed salt and pepper flavor. We got a good sized serving tucked in a paper sleeve. It was definitely made fresh because it was so hot to the touch! Flavors: 5 Bubble tea tastes best with real milk. And that's what they use! I think the tea could be stronger, but it was still really good. The crystal boba is not chewy like normal boba. The texture is different. It breaks apart a little like jelly. The sweet potato fries were delicious. The seaweed salt and pepper was tasty! The outside of the sweet potato fries were tender and fluffy inside. Overall, I'd go there again. The fries are addicting!!
The best boba tea in PVD. The staff was very friendly and kind. My son wanted a drink which was not on the menu but they willingly made it for him. I ordered black milk boba and Taiwan popcorn chicken. Both were really good. I can't wait to try their freshly baked cake!
Incredibly delicious oolong teas light and smoky with different bobas house made and brown sugar, respectively. Also got their popcorn chicken, super flavorful marinated and juicy not over cooked. Will have to try their other seasonings like chili and salt/pepper- I tried their seaweed which was like a nice furikake-type of seasoning, sweet with a hint of sea saltiness. We will be back! Please make a shop in Boston ….
Great milk tea options, but definitely on the sweeter side, so go lower on sugar % than you think you want. Fantastic popcorn chicken snack, couldn’t stop eating it!Food: 5/5
